Ah, the cat eye. Never disappoints in delivering a mysterious look even when the rest of your makeup remains low key. Any time I think I am sick of the cat eye and try a different look it isn't even a week before I'm back with my tail between my legs wishing I didn't stray (see what I did there?). I have never been one for heavy shadow or a lot of makeup, I think namely because it doesn't suit my look and because it's damn hard to do well. But I love an intense cat eye. In fact, my different makeup looks end up just being a different variation of it - small wing for work, more intense for play and as of late I've been toying with lining all the way around the eye instead of just the usual top. While I would not by any stretch consider myself skilled at makeup application, after many years of trial and error I think I have managed to find the cat eye shape that works for me. I truly believe that it can work on everyone with a simple tweak of shape to suit each person's face. You can use any color pencil or gel/creme eye liner to achieve this look. I have been using Clinique's Brush on Cream Liner in True Black paired with their angled Eye Definer Brush for years. I totally recommend this pairing for an easy, reliable application. And like anything worth it, it definitely takes some practice to get a feel for it. Stay patient. Yee haw.
