Lazy Face

I'm always so curious about the girls you see featured on street style blogs  - the girls with the most fabulous of outfits worn with their hair in a pony tail and not a stitch of makeup on.  You know the ones.  Even when they are not done up to the nines they are draped in sartorial  couture.  Are they trying to make a statement or is it just common practice to them?  It seems as though their expression of fashion taste is never compromised no matter the level of lazy in their day.

Over the past few years I have been caught up in a routine of waking up and putting on the same face of makeup everyday.  My laziness always overcome by my need to hide behind black eyeliner.  It would feel silly for me to make any sort of effort with wardrobe if my face wasn't dressed appropriately (whatever that means).  As of late I have been experimenting with wearing no makeup but not downplaying my outfit to match.  Its been interesting.  Almost a monumental revelation of self, I look in the mirror and think 'huh so that's what my face looks like'.  It definitely takes some getting used to.  There is something both vulnerable and feminine about a girl's face not done up.

I am particularly fond of this outfit because it basically feels like I'm wearing pajamas.  It is rare that I will wear an uncomfortable outfit for the sake of fashion.   It would have to be pretty fucking special.  This outfit may become my summer uniform, a loose short and feminine cami that leaves lots of room to let it all hang out after too much summer bbq.

That's a lot of words when really all I wanted to say was this...

Here is an outfit I like.  A lot.  I like wearing outfits that feel like pajamas.  I'm not wearing makeup.  I usually do.  I think my face looks weird but I'm getting used to it.

That's all.
